Welcome to Grouplit. By creating an account or using the service at grouplit.app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Grouplit. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for the security of your account and any activity under it. Use a strong password and don't share your credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You retain ownership of anything you post (messages, photos, event details). By posting, you grant Grouplit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content to other users you've granted access to (e.g., your group members), solely to operate the service.

Grouplit helps you track shared expenses between friends. We do not process payments.Settlement happens directly between you and other users (e.g., via Interac, cash, or other services). Grouplit is not responsible for disputes, miscalculations beyond our software's control, or payments that don't arrive.
We send transactional emails (invites, RSVPs, bill reminders) to participants. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We don't sell email addresses or use them for unrelated marketing.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@grouplit.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
Grouplit is provided “as is”without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Use at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grouplit's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed CAD $50 or the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
